Childhood Sexual Abuse Affects Who The Person Becomes

Childhood Sexual Abuse Affects Who The Person Becomes It's inevitable that a person is affected by childhood sexual abuse in one way or another. How is a person affected?

Here is the link to order The Courage to Heal by Ellen Bass and Laura Davis from Amazon.com

The #Timesup and the #Metoo movement has had a deep effect on me. I was a victim of sexual abuse during my childhood. Now, I am a survivor.

I feel that in remaining silent about my abuse for so long hampered my personal growth and healing and stifled my ability to help others.

But #timesup for me to be silent.

For the sake of others who I know personally that have been abused and are still suffering in silence, #timesup for me to be silent.

For the women I don’t know that are suffering due to the abuse the experienced, #timesup for me to be silent.

For children that are in a situation out of their control that are being abused now, #timesup for me to be silent.

For children who may potentially be abused in the future, #timesup for me to be silent.

I am ending my silence and choosing to speak publicly and advocating for myself and others so there can be healing.

In my videos, I will be speaking truth and the truths I have learned along the way.

I can only honest and direct about child abuse.

Yet it is not my desire to be gory in talking about details, being inappropriate, or offensive in anyway.

I reference the book The Courage to Heal by Laura Davis and Ellen Bass. I advise all survivors of child abuse and their supporters to get a copy.
