Illegally detained, handcuffed, searched- Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall

On April 30th, 2019 I visited Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. While recording from a public sidewalk, I was illegally detained, handcuffed, imprisoned in the back of a vehicle, and my property was searched.

The base’s Facebook statement concerning this incident has been deleted, ostensibly due to overwhelming public feedback.
The entire page of the base police has also been taken down since the video was posted.

Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Police personnel involved:
Officer Daniel- originally detains me on the sidewalk
Officer Lewis- handcuffs me, places me in the vehicle
Staff Sergeant Hook- orders Officer Lewis’ actions
Detective Mitchell- released me from detention

The base police department faced controversy in 2017 due to PD personnel posing for a photo pretending to beat one of their own:
