Liverpool news : Why Liverpool chiefs can do NOTHING to stop 1000s of fans' Champions League disapp The Reds will face Tottenham in the Champions League final at the Wanda Metropolitano on June 1, looking to win their sixth European Cup. Supporters have already been hit with an uphill battle trying to make it out to Spain for the final, with flights and hotel prices soaring through the roof. Fans who were looking to stay at home have now had their options cut short, after it surfaced that the club will not be able to show the spectacle at Anfield. Contractors will have already moved into the stadium to prepare it for a series of summer concerts by the time the final takes place. But Liverpool chiefs had already thought ahead to plan a solution to reduce the disappointment for if Jurgen Klopp’s side did reach the final. They decided to book an alternative venue which will allow up to 9000 fans watch the final. According to the Liverpool Echo, the M&S Bank Arena will be showing the match but there has been no official confirmation. Still, the plans will see a large quantity of supporters having to make alternative arrangements.  The first concert takes place on June 6 when Take That come to town. Bon Jovi then perform on June 19 and lastly Pink takes to the stage on June 25. The events have already forced Liverpool to shelve plans of relaying the pitch at Anfield until later in the summer. Both finalists were given just 16,613 tickets each for the final inside a stadium which holds 67,829 spectators.  Klopp hit out at UEFA on Friday, claiming they have not given the fans enough consideration when planning both the Champions League and Europa League final. "These decisions, they must be much more sensible. It just looks irresponsible," he said. "A solution maybe, in the cities who get the final, maybe they have to make a price cut? I heard a room that is normally £100 is now £2700? Just crazy! "Madrid is unbelievably expensive but who decides Baku for a European final? Or Kiev? I don't know what the people who decide these things have for breakfast."
