Ram S Krishnan created the upset of round 1 by beating Aleksej Aleksandrov (2588). Once upon a time Ram had an Elo of 2300+ and he had already scored all his IM norms. However, he is now down to a rating of 2152. What happened? Why did Ram lose so much rating? We ask Ram these questions and he gives some highly truthful answers.
