Nintendo. ROMs. Emulators. Piracy. The four are intertwined in frequent discussion/debates about emulation of older titles that are developed and/or published by Nintendo. It especially became relevant in 2018, when websites LoveROMS.Com and LoveRetro.co faced a lawsuit for copyright/trademark infringement, resulting in both being shut down and a $12,230,000 settlement. In this video, Jordan discusses how the issue of piracy for Nintendo is one of (unintentional) self-creation, and recommends a variety of solutions on how to fix it before it’s too late.
