How to embellish chords is a very important skill to develop. This makes it possible to get away from just simple strumming, which can get boring pretty quickly.

It's also a great way to "change your thinking" about how to play over chords. You see, when we play this way, the style is similar to what piano players often do. The result is a pleasing, melodic approach to "play around the chords" - embellishing the chords.

Hope you dig this!
