Clarifying TB117 for my Subscribers & Opinion Piece

Clarifying TB117 for my Subscribers & Opinion Piece I was made aware that I didn't do enough to clarify Technical Bulletin 117 in my last video.. If you have not watched my last video it might be best to watch it before continuing this one. So technical bulletin 117 first was signed into law in the 1970's and later revised in 2013/2014 but in neither of these laws did it state that furniture and other house hold goods had to have a chemical flame retardant. Yes furniture and other house hold goods have to have a flame retardant but it does not have to come from a chemical. You can use other organic alternatives to solve issues, TB117 has nothing against doing that. Most companies just like to take the cheap way out and not put in much research or time for us consumers. But we hold all the power over them, without us they have no company to begin with. I strongly encourage you to vote with your dollars. At the end of the day you pay their bills and paychecks so we ought to demand more from them. Talk to your family, friends, and neighbors about different chemicals being used in homes. Talk about it on social media, inform more people so we can have a better future. If we have enough people demanding chemical free fire retardants eventually manufacturers will start to make the products you are demanding. It's all about supply and demand, so as more people make these products and more people buy them the price for the goods will also come down. I really hope this video can help clarify TB117 a little better.

Thank you so much for watching!
