DESCRIPTION
In this tutorial demo, painter James Gurney visits Olana, the exotic artist’s mansion of Frederic Church. He paints the mansion en plein air using a watercolor sketchbook. Even though the lighting in the actual scene is fairly flat, he decides to spotlight the base of the architecture to add drama and mystery.
