Millennials are putting off medical care and appointents

Millennials are putting off medical care and appointents CINCINNATI (WKRC) When it comes to health concerns, nearly half of all millennials will put off a serious health problem - mainly they say, because of what it might cost them.

A survey of more than 2000 millennials by Harmony Healthcare found that since six in ten prefer high deductible plans and lower premiums, they are likely not to see a medical provider unless absolutely necessary.

Now, since lots of millennials participate in healthy behaviors such as yoga, they often think they're healthy, because they feel fine

But this survey also found they don't get physicals because they feel healthy. They also don't save any money for medical emergencies, should something happen.

One in four do not have a primary care doctor, and have not had a physical in more than five years.

Seven out of ten search for medical advice online, rather than seeing a physician.

The astonishing thing was that half the people searching online said they believe you can accurately diagnose symptoms by looking things up online and they would rather see a doctor through virtual medicine, rather than seeing them in person.
