Breaking News! 150000 Travellers Stranded By Thomas Cook Bankruptcy UK Gov Leases 40 Jets Thomas Cook has shut down all of it's operations laying off over 21000 workers of which 9000 are in the UK. The Thomas Cook Airline, Condor Airways and Scandinavia with over 117 aircraft shut down and has left at least 150000 travellers stranded around the world. Holiday goers have found that their hotel reservations have been cancelled and are now at airports trying to return home to the UK and other European countries. The UK Government has chartered 40 Jumbo jets to repatriate UK citizens at a number higher than before the second world war according to estimates. It could cost UK taxpayers $600 million to get everyone home and close the agency some sources reported today.
