About this video: This video shows you how to buy Minecraft on PC. Specifically, we show you how to buy the Java Edition of Minecraft. Minecraft Java Edition is the main 'PC' version of Minecraft. It gets all updates first, and it is the primary focus of Minecraft development. This is because it is the original Minecraft game that was released all the way back in 2009, and in this video, we go over every step of how to purchase Minecraft. Thus, let's go ahead and jump right on into it!
First and foremost, you'll need to go to Minecraft's official website. This is where you will purchase Minecraft. You can only by Minecraft from Minecraft/Mojang's official website - Minecraft.net. Once you are there, you'll see a HUGE green button that says 'Buy Minecraft Java Edition (PC & MAC)'. You'll click this to get the process started. However, I do want to mention that Minecraft Java Edition can also be purchased on Mac even though this video focuses on purchasing Minecraft for PC.
Once you click the 'Buy Minecraft' button, you will be taken off to a page where you need to create a Mojang account. Mojang owns Minecraft, and you will log in to Minecraft using your Minecraft account. After you have entered your information for your Mojang account, you will need to verify your email. You can find an email from Mojang/Minecraft, but be sure to check your spam folder. We received our email within seconds, but it could take up to 10 to 15 minutes. Once you've got the email, copy the code from that email to the 'verify email' page that you are on.
After your email is verified, you will be taken off to where you can buy Minecraft. Enter your payment info and click continue. Once you have done this, you have officially purchased Minecraft! You aren't done just yet though. You will now be taken off to a page where you can download Minecraft. If you aren't, we have a page in the description above that will show you exactly how to install Minecraft.
Now that you have Minecraft downloaded, it installs like any other program. When it opens up, you will see a login box. Enter in the email and password that you created for your Mojang account in this login box, and log right on in! Now, you will see a green 'Play' button at the bottom center of the Minecraft launch. Click that, and Minecraft will open right on up! From here you can join a Minecraft server or play a single-player world!
