EIFL: Training local trainers in Namibia to transform public libraries

EIFL: Training local trainers in Namibia to transform public libraries EIFL's Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP) is on a journey to bring modern library services to users, eliminating barriers to access to knowledge in local communities. In 2018 EIFL began a partnership with the Namibia Library and Archive Service to engage in the development of highly-skilled local trainers - public librarians ready to empower their peers.

16 exceptional Namibian trainers have completed a curriculum covering * Training skills * Internet Searching and Resources * ICT skills * Design Thinking * Planning New Services * Library Spaces * Performance & Impact Evaluation * Communication & Advocacy

Working with the Namibia Library and Archive Service, the trainers are transforming the landscape of public libraries in Namibia.

This video highlights Namibian training participants and the valuable skills they learnt as part of the EIFL-PLIP programme.
