Jesus our supreme example and Guru

This is Part 2 of the video series:
The message of salvation in Jesus.

This Video considers the following points:

* The death of Jesus was the result of jealousy, false accusation and murder.

* John 3:16 is elaborated using the parable of the tenants demonstrating that it is not the literal shedding of Jesus’ blood that brings salvation, rather he was God’s appeal to us for change.

* Punishing Jesus for the sins of the world makes no sense when we consider that, Lord Yahweh, under the law, delighted in showing mercy. This aspect was considered in detail in Part 1 of this video series.

* Mathew’s interpretation of the Isaiah 53 prophecy - the Messiah who shouldered our burdens rather than a substitutionary sacrifice to appease an angry God.

* Jesus as our supreme example, role model, high priest, living guru and mediator.

* “I am the way” - Jesus’ call to his followers align their way of life, and thinking, to his way of life.

* Did Jesus himself need to be saved from death?
