PRE-ARRIVAL to serious head-on crash on Route 145 in Lehigh County, PA.

Just after 2AM on Thanksgiving, Lehigh County 911 dispatched a rescue assignment to Rt. 145 and Mauser Road in North Whitehall Township for an auto extrication sending Station 12, 22, 47 (Norco), Medics 67, 62 and 75.

On arrival, we found 2 cars head-on with heavy damage to both vehicles and 4 people pinned inside both cars.

Engine 1271 arrived and stretched one hand line and put their rescue tool in-service until the heavy rescue arrived.

Rescue 47 (Lehigh Township) arrived and placed multiple tools in-service to cut out the occupants of the cars. All 4 had serious injuries and transported by ground via EMS.

The road remained closed in both directions while State Troopers investigated.
