One of our top bucketlist dreams was to spend Day of the Dead in the most traditional way possible...a small town in Mexico. We headed to Chignahuapan, Puebla, Mexico to celebrate this incredible and biggest holiday in Mexico the most authentic way possible. During the celebrations, we got to carry torches down the main street to the laguna, where we watched a traditional and annual show called Festival La Luz y La Vida. The Festival took place over the laguna and men and women dressed as Aztecs danced and performed the history of Dia de Muertos. While we didn't understand much of the show since it was in Spanish, the festival was pretty spectacular.
Bucketlist item checked off and our smiles have yet to leave our faces. What an experience!
Thanks for watching!
