On this week's Ask Kolat, Cary responds to a question of how to handle when opponents begin to catch on to your favorite takedowns or techniques and prevent you from getting to those positions. According to Kolat, the best way to deal with this problem and elevate your own wrestling skill at the same time is to force yourself to not go to your favorite positions or takedowns so that you have to broaden your skill set and create new openings and opportunities for yourself. If you can have a broad set of techniques and movements that you become comfortable implementing, then your opponent should no longer be able to prevent you from hitting techniques because of your versatility.
