Crest by Desirable Genes

Crest by Desirable Genes In 1999 Desirable Genes (Adrien Munden, Pete Coombs, Che Albrighton and Simon Abbott) recorded an EP called Slow Burn Into Night with Joseph Leach co producing and engineering the sessions. Some of these sessions ran late into the night. Altered state improvisations took place with the band creating music on the spot- with Adrien Munden talking improvised stories - and thus Audioporn / Audiop3rn were born.

The tracks were made into a limited run CD with artwork created by the groundbreaking designer Jonty Champelovier - however it was never released. By the time it was a physical object the team were working on the music that would become cult classic TANK and Audioporn were officially launched. The rest as they say is major history in a parallel universe.

Original copies of the EP which includes the first ever Audioporn improvisation "Porn Shop" (hidden at the end of 40 mins of silence) have been known to fetch up to £1000 with collectors.

To celebrate the EPs 20th anniversary in the wilderness this video (and a video for Dark, Sun and Slowly) have been created to acknowledge those glorious days, when all the possibilities danced like crazed wanton demons before us.
