Phase #1 includes improvements to The Red Roof Recovery Center, Hartley House, new Transport Crates, and a re-think of The Cub Nursery. Phase #2 is devoted to constructing Wild Enclosure #5. Please join Curator David as he explains what we’ll be doing with The Red Roof Recovery Center.

Appalachian Bear Rescue (ABR), founded in 1996, is located just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Townsend, Tennessee. It is a rehabilitation center for orphaned and injured black bear cubs, two years of age or younger, with the goal to release them back to the wild as soon as possible.
