Should a successful manager ever go back?

Should a successful manager ever go back? Fans love to see an old hero returning to the place they once called home- but in football not every comeback has a happy ending. Especially when it comes to managers. Theres an age old adage that says well...don't ever go back. Yet for some reason football manager's just can't help but to taste the forbidden fruit again and again...at the risk of tarnishing their legacy. Brazilian legend Luiz Felipe Scolari, "special one" Jose Mourinho, Fabio Capello, Marcello Lippi all legends in their own right who have tried AND failed. BUT not every football comeback has an unhappy ending which begs us to ask...should a successful manager go back to their past club? or should some stories just not have a sequel?
