Boondocking with an off grid travel trailer offers a little more space and freedom than a traditional non primitive campground. Primitive camping off the grid allows for a lifestyle of true efficiency, sustainability, flexibility, and freedom. In my opinion, a travel trailer is an amazing choice for those aiming to live a similar lifestyle. Detachability is the key factor. Primitive (FREE) camping is a first come first served system. This means that if you leave your campsite, someone can come and take that spot. With a travel trailer, you will not have to worry about losing your spot as you can simply unhitch, lock the hitch, and leave your home in its place while you run arronds.
