Obey God because you love Him, not because by the law you are saved, Only by grace through faith you are saved. But obedience to the law (or commandments) IS required by God as proof you are already saved, loyal, loving, and faithful (see John 14:15, John 15:14, 1 John 2:3-4, Luke 6:46, Luke 13:3), NOT obedience to the law to BE saved, that's legalism and a curse. (see Galatians 3, Romans 5-6)
