Tom Roden draws on his experience across art-form as theatre-maker, comedian, choreographer and dancer in his beautiful new duet for Candoco. This is a piece that promises to make us laugh a lot and maybe even shed a tear too. In his guise as comedian, Tom is particularly keen to play with archetypes - he enjoys usurping people's expectations and encouraging audiences to question the way they perceive the world. Join our two flight attendants as they take you on a journey that slips seamlessly between the everyday and the poetic. Brace yourself for a playful, yet poignant ride on this most unusual aeroplane, fast-propelling you towards the inevitable.
Danced with charm and cheek, the two performers interweave delicious full-bodied dancing with spoken word, gestural detail and British Sign Language.
This masterful choreography is a microcosm of joy and pathos.
A Graceful Act of Stupidity is your entire life in a moment. It’s time to check-in.
