I had a four-month paid vacation during the summer when I was teaching at a University in Japan.
I decided to spend my summer at Mt. Shasta, and for the first time in my life, I was so present in the current moment.
I was working at the front desk, and I would just stare out the door to the main street and be present in my thoughts and feelings I was experiencing.
And I was shocked how beautiful life can be….
This was a huge new thought for me, because I am a very busy personality type and I realized that even not doing much, was part of life too!
Once I realized this, I was able to take notice of the small things happening in my life that I didn’t plan on, and how they were all shaping my life and my reality.
I didn’t plan on this, but as John Lennon said, “life is what happens when we’re making other plans”.
