The Channel Islands firm has been shortlisted for both their ‘People’ and ‘Client’ experience. Some of the highlights in the year were a health and wellbeing programme including a visit from the former boxer turned mental health ambassador Frank Bruno to discuss how to keep mentally healthy, lessons in leadership from Sam Warburton and a whole range of other initiatives to create an exceptional experience for their people. This was in addition to delivering a world-class client experience demonstrated by their Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 70%.
Adam Budworth, Managing Director at Grant Thornton in the Channel Islands, said: “We are incredibly proud of our internal programmes that all combine to deliver an outstanding people experience. This past year we designed and implemented a new performance management framework and created focus groups with the sole responsibility of improving our people experience. Being shortlisted in the top three for Firm of the Year has given the team a massive boost and we’re all looking forward to the awards evening. This nomination follows three years of transforming the culture of our business and recognises the efforts of all those involved in this journey.”
The Experience Awards consist of 9 categories ranging from the Diversity Award to the Community Leader Award. Winners will be decided and announced at the Global Conference at the British Museum on the 31st October 2019.
Head of Office for Guernsey Cyril Swale said: “As a company, we are only as good as our people, so we are passionate about ensuring they are supported in all aspects of their lives. Our staff work exceptionally hard to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations and we’re excited that our company has been recognised for engaging with and developing our team.”
