Spy's So Lonesome Spy Could Cry

Spy's So Lonesome Spy Could Cry DocRock1007 sometimes combines his musical work creatively juxtaposed to short video footage of current political events of interest. This is particularly true from home studio recordings, where added visual content may benefit interest.

Although the intent is certainly to be primarily musical, the clips are added perhaps in tradition of that similar to much in musical Americana, and folk music in general, performed within a context of current day events of public interest.

Here, Hank Williams' apolitical song, chosen for its beauty and simple majesty, from another age, is done with a few current day video clips added in as an after-thought, and so, then, as it happened, creatively changing the title slightly for it, in juxtaposition with current day discussion, and the work as a whole.

It may all mean nothing, meaning is left to the viewer; art is long, life is short..

This week's video features those from the week's biggest story: Alexander Vindman, Lindsey Graham, (looking "lonesome", perhaps, last year at Senator John McCain's funeral greeting Huma Abedin), Alexandra Chalupa, and Charles Kupchan, with prior footage of several of some of them working together in Ukraine when Senator McCain was still with us.

The audio (and video) features DocRock1007 of course singing and playing Hank Williams' 1949 tune "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry", in one take, warts and all, with some slightly added instrumentation.
