The Luxurious tourist train, Deccan Odyssey visits Chennai, probably for the first time in History, led by a Kalyan WDM3D!!


About the train -
The Deccan Odyssey is a luxury train aimed to boost tourism. It is a venture of the Maharashtra Government and the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. In addition to being a train that touches tourist spots, this aims to be a complete 5-star hotel on wheels, with two restaurants and a bar, a sauna, business center and other such amenities on board. The coaches fitted with special amenities were manufactured by the ICF Chennai.
Its first commercial run was on Feb 4, 2004.

On this run from Mumbai to Chennai (as 00410), it covered many prominent tourist spots like Goa, Ooty, Cochin, Kanyakumari, Pondicherry and so on..
