Should Turkey consider JF 17 if the F 35 sales remain blocked as a stop gap? It is definitely a very cheap and effective workdog which will give you back what you need. But Turkey has taken a very different approach and has first modernized all of its F-16 fleet and extended its lifetime at least 20 years.
And for the F-4, they have opted for the F-35, and it is still not clear what the future with F-35 will be.
