Trans Mountain begins construction of pipeline expansion | Power & Politics Trans Mountain Corp. officially marked the start of construction on the expansion of its pipeline. The company said it expects 4,200 workers to be employed along the pipeline route by the end of the year as they work to complete the project that will carry 890,000 barrels of oil per day from Alberta to the B.C. coast.
